How to Make Worry Free DIY Wedding Veil, Decor and Pew Bow

Enjoying the excitement of the royal wedding and the high demand for wedding decor and bows, Sandy Sandler, Creator of the Bowdabra, creates 4 amazingly beautiful, worry-free DIY Wedding Ideas – from gorgeous decor and pew bow to elegant centerpiece and veil.

DIY WEDDING DECOR

Sandy takes a large piece of shimmery fabric and scrunches it into the Large Bowdabra. She then takes a smaller piece of the same fabric and scrunches it into the Bowdabra again – the idea is to help the smaller piece make a nice puff at the top. Next, she takes some pieces of dove-tailed pink ribbon – 15 inches long and one-and-half inch wide. She adds four such pieces, placing them one after the other on the scrunched fabric with a little mountain crease in the middle.

To the arrangement, Sandy now adds 3 pieces of ribbon that have pretty wedding bells as a pattern. Finally, she adds a little piece of glittery pink tulle to the bow arrangement. Tied up with the Bowdabra Bow Wire and shaped out, the stunning bow makes an astonishingly simple yet beautiful decor bow to decorate your flower vase or any wedding gift or a bridal shower gift.

GLITTERING GREEN CENTERPIECE

Taking a large piece of glittering green mesh, Sandy scrunches the fluffy mesh in, holds it down to stop it from popping out of the Bowdabra and then adds a wide blue ribbon in large loops over it. She adds a few purple roses and pieces of white ribbon to the pile of stuff that has been put into the Bowdabra now.

Tied up with the Bowdabra Bow Wire it makes a stunning bow minus all the sew and hot glue. So you have a gorgeous bow for a centerpiece for your table or the gift table, made in just minutes! As Sandy says, you have the “elegance of the non-traditional mesh with the elegance of traditional wedding”.

MULTI-LAYERED PEW BOW

Sandy scrunches a piece of green mesh into the Bowdabra and adds a few pieces of 10-inch long patterned ribbon, which she carefully twists and folds, keeping the wrong side of the ribbon inside. Next, she adds a piece of wired peacock ribbon, making smaller loops.

Next, she takes curly korker ribbons and adds a piece of tulle on top. She shapes the bow by fluffing out and moving the loops around. As the ribbons are wired, they let you shape much easier than something like satin.

BRIDAL HEADPIECE/VEIL

Veils may come into vogue again after the excitement of the royal wedding. Sandy takes up a few long pieces of tulle (about a yard in length and 5-inch wide) and places them in the Bowdabra with long tails left loose on one side. She adds a 12-inch piece of lace.

After adding some pretty white flowers, she adds another lace bow to the arrangement and tops it up with some floral picks. The arrangement makes up the back of the veil which will embellish the headpiece as the bride walks down the aisle.

To this, Sandy adds a bow made with a pearl-wired ribbon that has a shear center, which constitutes the front of the veil. She shapes the bow out to make an elegant headpiece with a resplendent white front side and long stylish trails at the back.
