Make amazingly beautiful yet super simple hair bows in minutes with the Bowdabra, without sew or hot glue. Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra, the world’s easiest bowmaker shows how easy it is for anyone to make super cute and simple hair bows with some ribbon scraps, beads, tulle and the Mini Bowdabra.
BLUE ROSES HAIR BOW
Sandy takes two 11-inch-long pieces of ribbon – one patterned and one burlap placed over each other. She lays them into the Mini Bowdabra with a little mountain up. Next, she tucks in the other end, over and across and with a little mountain up again in the middle. She shapes out the loops in the Bowdabra and adds some blue roses on top. Tied up with the Bow Wire, it looks an elegant hair bow that can simply be tied to a bobby pin.
PIN WHEEL HAIR BOW
Sandy lays a lovely piece of ribbon into the Mini Bowdabra, centered and placed upside down. She brings one end around and tucks it in and then uses the other end to bring it over in an X and tucks it in. She scrunches in the bottom ribbon and then scrunches in the top part. This way there are no loose ends. Tied up with the Bow Wire, it makes a super cute pinwheel bow that can be just glued to a clip.
SUPER SIMPLE HAIR BOW FOR PRINCESS COSTUME OR FLOWER GIRL
Sandy uses the Large Bowdabra this time, placing a hair band in first and then scrunching in a piece of tulle over it. She next takes a webbed ribbon that has sparkles on it and scrunches it in. She adds a piece of silver ribbon, twisted and folded with the wrong side of the ribbon placed towards the inside. The entire arrangement is tied up with the Bow Wire to make a resplendent white and silver hair bow.
PIN WHEEL BOW WITH GRO RIBBON
Sandy takes a pink gro ribbon and places it in the Mini Bowdabra in the form of a pinwheel bow (as described in the Pin Wheel Bow tutorial above). She adds a few pieces of pre-curled korker ribbons – white and yellow and creates a striking pinwheel hair bow that can be just woven into a head band. You can change the colors of the ribbons to make many such super simple hair bows.
MYRIAD HUES OF PINK HAIR BOW
Sandy takes a few pieces dove-tailed ribbons in various shaded of pink and places them in the Large Bowdabra. Tied up all together and attached to a ponytail holder, it makes a really pretty bow. Making such super simple hair bows is a breeze with the Bowdabra.
LEAVES AND PETALS HAIR BOW
Sandy places a hair band in the Large Bowdabra and adds various ribbon pieces with pointed ends, cut as leaves and petals. When tied up together, it makes an adorable and super easy hair bow. Use wired ribbons as they help the flowers to shape.
HEART AND BEADS HAIR BOW
Sandy uses a lovely blue ribbon to make a pinwheel bow (explained above) and scrunches in a piece of white ribbon over it. She adds a string of beads to finish this very pretty and super quick bow. As a finishing touch, she sticks a little heart in the center which makes it so cute!
PRETTY PINK HAIR BOW
All that Sandy does in this hair bow is to simply pile up two pieces of dove-tailed pink ribbons, a piece of organza, a few pre-curled korker ribbons and a piece of tulle. And bingo, you have a pretty little hair bow ready in the blink of the eye wrapped around an alligator clip with the remaining Bow Wire.
