Materials

“Hi, I’m Sandy Sandler, the creator of the Bowdabra Bow Maker. Today, we’re going to make this really fun mini Halloween ghost wreath. So, let’s get started.”

I’m going to start with my Mini Bowdabra. Then, I’m going to take some of my Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold it in half. I’m just going to lay it in and tuck the ends underneath my Mini Bowdabra.

Make the Ghost

Now, we’re going to make our ghost. So, in order to do that, I’m just taking my tulle, and I’m going to fold it back. And so, on this side, I just want to make it big enough, so this is going to be my ghost’s head. I’m just going to fold back and forth with my tulle, and we’re going to make our little mini ghost. And then with this last piece, I’m just going to fold over like that.

Next, I’ll take my wire, I’m going to bring it up and pull it through, pull it tight while it’s still in my Mini Bowdabra. I’m going to separate the ends, bring it around to the back. I’m going to just knot it, and double-knot it. Finally, I’m just going to clip it really close here. Now, I’m going to just take this black piece of pipe cleaner or chenille stem, and then what I’m going to do is just kind of form my little head here. I’m just sort of sticking in all of my pieces inside of each other. Now, I’m going to just take this and clip the bottom side so that I have my little ghost.

To finish my ghost, I’m going to take two Zots and put one on this eye. And you could use adhesive eyes, or you could use glue, but these are permanent Zots, so I really like them. So, let’s go to the front of my little ghost, and I’m just going to put his two little eyes right there. So, super simple. And then, I’m going to set him aside.

Make the bow

Next, I’m going to take out my regular Bowdabra, and I’m going to grab my wire. I’m going to fold it in half and just lay this down into my Bowdabra. And I’m going to just tuck the ends underneath. First, I’m going to take my black mesh. I’m just going to scrunch that in. This is like such a super easy bow. Take my orange mesh and lay that in. I’m doing these all at a diagonal, and I’m just going to lay my purple mesh in.

Then, I’m going to take my cool skeleton ribbon, and I’ve already dovetailed the ends, but just in case you’re not familiar with dovetailing, I’m going to fold it in half, and I’m going to cut it at an angle from the fold to the corner. So, just like that. And then, I have my cool dovetails.

Add the rhinestone embellishment

And so, now I’m going to fold this in half and just lay my tail down into my Bowdabra. And then, I have some of my Bowdabra rhinestone mesh. I’m just going to place this in here. We’ve just cut two rows. Our mesh has eight rows, but I just cut two rows, two of two rows. I’m just going to lay these in here. Then, I’m going to take my skeleton ribbon, I’m going to take the right side of my ribbon, put it down into my Bowdabra, fold it back over.  I’ll take the right side of the ribbon, scrunch it down. And then, come to the center here and just scrunch everything into my Bowdabra.

Finishing your mini wreath

I’m going to take my wand and give everything a little push. Then, I’m just going to take my Bowdabra Wire, pull it through my slipknot.  I pull everything tight while it’s still in my Bowdabra. Then, I’m going to just separate my ends and bring it around to the back. To finish, I’m just going to tie a knot, and double-knot it. And anybody who watches me all the time, I know you guys have seen me do this a million times before. So now, I’m just going to tie this onto my wreath. It’s a cute little grapevine wreath. And I’ll knot it on here.

So, I’m just going to kind of shape my bow out. Then, I’m going to take the orange, and I’m going to put the orange and black. And then, I’m just going to use my pipe cleaner or my chenille stem. And I’m going to just twist this around. Let’s bring my orange around here, bring it around to the back. And I’m just going to twist this onto my wreath. And you have this really adorable, super simple mini Halloween ghost wreath.
